VFS was established in 1998 by Raymond Joubaud, former General Manager of Lombard Odier (Gibraltar) Limited and founding member of The Gibraltar Funds & Investment Association.
The company was set up at the request of a few Swiss managers who needed help establishing their investment firms in Gibraltar. Our Investment Management support infrastructure was built to service these initial clients and was tailor-made to suit their operational requirements. Since then, VFS have helped numerous managers and family offices set up their investment operations in Gibraltar.
In 2006, funds legislation was introduced in Gibraltar and VFS took the opportunity to diversify into this new industry. VFS obtained a fund administration licence and has been servicing funds ever since. Armed with portfolio management and fund administration functionality, obtaining an Alternative Investment Fund Managers licence in 2015 was a natural progression for VFS.
Over its lifetime, the company has evolved its multi-service offering, fuelled mainly by our drive to fulfil client requirements to the best of our abilities. Whenever possible, we will accommodate and if we cannot, we will go the extra length to find another solution for our clients - this is the nature of our company.
With our numerous services and personlised approach, VFS truly caters for the small manager or family office wishing to fully benefit from the advantages of a small but well established, low tax jurisdiction like Gibraltar.
